Words from Wounds

Turning wounds into words, and words into healing

I’m just a passionate stranger with a mission: to shed light on the invisible wounds of complex PTSD, generational trauma, and the deep scars that shape who we become.

I grew up believing I was broken — told from the time I could remember that I was worthless, defective, and unlovable. The people who were supposed to protect me were often the ones causing the most harm. That pain didn’t just vanish; it followed me, shaped my attachment, and gave me an ACE score of 9 out of 10 — a number that’s rarely talked about, because people like me often don’t make it this far.

My life has been messy, chaotic, and painful. But I’m still here. And I’ve devoted what’s left of me to creating something that might help someone else stay here, too.

I write to give voice to the parts we’re told to keep silent. I share my story — the ugliest and most tender parts of it — not for attention, but so someone out there knows they’re not alone. If we speak up, even anonymously, maybe we can change the ending for someone else. Maybe we can break cycles instead of repeating them.

This isn’t just a blog. It’s a space for healing, truth-telling, and connection — where pain can be turned into purpose, and wounds into words.

Writing down feelings and thoughts to process trauma through the use of poetry

Healing in the Shadows

In the depths of despair and the shadows of doubt
The soul is burdened and the spirit worn out
Anxiety grips like a vise, a relentless foe
And in the heart, the seeds of self-hate grow

But in the midst of the storm, a glimmer of light
A flicker of hope, burning ever so bright
For within the soul, resilience does dwell
A strength that no darkness can ever quell

Hear the whispers of love and gentle grace
Embrace the wounded child, in this sacred space
Let the tears flow, let the healing begin
For in vulnerability, new strength lies within

Processing Emotions

Empower Yourself to Navigate Your Emotions and Improve Your Mental Well-Being

We live in a society that demands our ability to articulate our emotions, thoughts, desires, and needs. Yet, the challenge arises from our individual uniqueness-our distinct ways of functioning. Throughout my life, I have consistently encountered criticism for my perceived oversensitivity, immaturity, and seemingly petulant behavior, simply because I struggle to express myself verbally.

I experience emotions more intensely than most people. I struggled to manage and understand these feelings until recently. Through writing about my emotions, I have found healing, comfort, personal growth and happiness. This process has helped me contribute meaningfully to a society that often doesn't understand or accept my unique way of learning and feeling.

In presenting my poetry to you, I aim to highlight the individual uniqueness of each person and offer support to those facing similar struggles. It's important to embrace intense emotions and recognize that not everyone will comprehend them. There are others who can relate to you.

Discover what helps you and continue with it, while being mindful of not causing harm to others. Every poem that is shared will be accompanied by a story, which aims to provide deeper context and understanding for the poem. This website also serves as a creative outlet for me to express my voice and share my story in the manner I'm most comfortable with.
